Philippine documents authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Saudi Embassy in Manila will no longer require a "Seen and Noted" certification from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, the embassy said Monday.
But the embassy also reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against fake or tampered documents, which it said will be seized outright.
"The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh informs the public that all Philippine documents authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs Authentication Division in Manila, and which already bears the authentication signature and documentary stamp of the Saudi Embassy in Manila, will no longer require a 'Seen and Noted' certification from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh," it said.
On the other hand, the embassy said fake or tampered documents submitted for authentication may be seized "upon proper determination by the DFA Authentication Officer."
Also, it said holders of such documents, as well as fixers, "shall be liable for prosecution."Those with further questions may email consular@philembassy-riyadh.org, the embassy said. — RSJ, GMA News
