Personal Document Services

The Clerk of Court’s office is an agent for the Louisiana Vital Records Registry.


* Marriage License applications will be available at 985-809-8745, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday
* Birth & Death records can be obtained at 985-809-8745, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday

In this department, the public may:

• Apply for a new Louisiana Marriage License
  • Monday – Friday from 8:30a.m. – 4:00p.m.
  • Marriage ceremonies may be performed in any Louisiana Parish; however, the marriage license will be recorded in St. Tammany Parish
  • Marriage Licenses recorded in St. Tammany Parish
  • Louisiana Birth Certificates* and/or Birth Cards**
  • Louisiana Death Certificates from July 9, 2012 to present

  *Individuals born before 1983, who have not purchased a copy of their birth record within the last 10 years, are encouraged to arrive prior to 4:00 pm to allow time for Louisiana Vital Records to update the record. Birth Records may not be available during closures of the New Orleans Vital Records Office (504) 593-5100.
  

  **Birth Cards may only be purchased at the same time as a Birth Certificate
